  • EMS measures the habits of Western Europe’s most affluent consumers and top business decision makers: the top 13% across 16 markets.
  • EMS Select incorporates all the same measures as EMS but represents the very top 3%.
  • CEMS measures the habits of Central Europe’s most affluent consumers and top business decision makers: the top 13% across 4 markets
  • EMS Digital Life is a recontact survey of EMS respondents, focusing on the respondents media lifestyle and incorporating a media diary.

Synovate EMS survey shows latest spending power of regional elite.
DUBAI – Global market research company Synovate, in cooperation with Dubai Media City, held an event yesterday to share the results of Synovate’s 2009 EMS Middle East survey, which tracks media consumption across eight key markets in the Middle East as well as purchasing habits, business decision making, lifestyles and psychographics of affluent consumers.
 
Synovate conducted 2,569 interviews with affluent consumers in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan from mid June 2008 to September 2008, and the results represent 1.75 million high-end consumers across the Middle East. Many major upscale international and regional broadcasters, media specialists and key regional publications in Europe and the Middle East use Synovate’s EMS study as the basis for their media planning.

Synovate EMS reveals latest purchase behaviour and media trends among Europe’s most influential consumers
AMSTERDAM - Synovate, a leading global market intelligence company, has released the winter data from its European Media & Marketing Study (Synovate EMS).  Designed to track media, prosperity and influence across 20 Western and Central European countries in Europe, the study covers Europe’s most affluent consumers and top business decision makers (the top 13 % of the population). The latest result show that affluents are still spending their money on travel and electronics despite the downturn in the economy in many parts of Europe.

Synovate Releases its Pan-European Media and Marketing Surveys for 2008
AMSTERDAM – Synovate, a leading global market intelligence company, today released the 2008 top line results of their widespread pan-European Media and Marketing Surveys (this include their EMS Regular, EMS Select, CEMS and CEMS Select surveys). Despite the fact that TV, movies and print titles can be derived electronically via e-books and internet media websites, EMS and EMS Select 2008 results show that traditional TV channels and print titles in Europe continue to show a stable, healthy performance.

EMS Middle East fieldwork started
The currency for tracking media, prosperity and influence across approximately the top 13% of adults started its fieldwork in July in 13 cities of the Gulf (Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait City, Doha, Manama) and non-Gulf area (Cairo, Alexandria, Amman, Beirut).

On Wednesday 30th of January 2008, the European Media and Marketing Winter 2007 will be launched. This year’s Winter Release will feature marketing data for the first time making the EMS and EMS Select Winter a full EMS Release.

EMS donations
Synovate is proud to help the Khartoum Cheshire Home, an independent Non-Governmental Organisation which provides free of charge care and cure for the physically disabled children in Sudan. In the past year this organization has been able to provide 5,500 children with mobility aids, it has treated another 3,000 children in their clinic, and it is aiming to treat a higher number in the coming year with the help of the EMS donations.

EMS and EMS Select 2007 Release; International TV and Print continue to perform at higher levels
On Tuesday 19th June 2007, the European Media and Marketing Survey was released for the 12th time in its history. 'The last 12 months have been phenomenal; Interview NSS was purchased by Synovate, EMS has expanded to Central Europe, the media measurement has evolved to encompass online and we have welcomed many new subscribers.'
